Doctor of Naturopathy: The Doctor of Naturopathy program is our most extensive Doctorate program. The ND program requires 120 course credits and 40 clinical credits.
The Doctor of Natural Medicine program may be the initial curriculum for the Doctor of Naturopathy program, if one chooses to proceed further in their graduate studies. The DNM may provide the Doctor of Naturopathy candidate credentials to practice with this acquired knowledge and expertise while pursuing the more extensive training required in the ND program.
Prerequisites: A Bachelor degree from this University or from an approved educational institution. Biology (may include Zoology, Anatomy, Physiology, Cell or Microbiology), General Chemistry (may include Inorganic Chemistry or others). The following courses are encouraged: College level Math (Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or Statistics), Physics and Psychology. Prerequisites may be obtained through the University or one of our affiliate institutions. Incoming credit may be applied for advanced placement whereby courses or curriculum may be waived if student has completed, or in the process of completing, these courses/clinical in our University or an approved institution. This would reduce the total curriculum and clinical requirements and tuition as well. No more than 30 graduate semester credits or its equivalent awarded by another institution may be credited toward a doctoral degree derived from a combination of any or both of the following:
(A) Units earned at institutions approved by the Bureau, public or private institutions of higher learning accredited by an accrediting association recognized by the U. S. Department of Education, or any institution of higher learning, including foreign institutions, if the institution offering the undergraduate program documents that the institution of higher learning at which the units were earned offers degree programs equivalent to degree programs approved by the Bureau or accredited by an accrediting association recognized by the U.S. Department of Education;
(B) Challenge examinations and standardized tests such as the College Level Placement Tests (CLEP) for specific academic disciplines.
