Spiritual Healing Methods - How Reiki Healing Energy Works?

Spiritual healing is not hard to comprehend. The term refers to the healing transmitted by the spirit, soul or divine force. In Chinese cultures, this is the Chi. Chi or Qi is also known as prana (India) and ki (Japan).

It happens through the presence or the awareness of a healer.

This practice of soul searching or healing by the spirit is common among many diverse cultures. In Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia, people versed in the care of the divine soul or spirit have sought to cure those who have fallen ill. They've tried through various means to ensure the person is whole and well.

Until the modern age, people always watched over their soul. The church or other religious groups maintained guard. In certain holistic medical practices, the healers also saw to the needs of the soul. They did not restrict their services to the physical body. Recently, medical professionals and individuals have begun to concern themselves with healing that includes the spirit.

How to Achieve Healing

In my opinion, based on practice and observations, the soul or spirit doesn't need healing at all. Only the human mind needs to be healed. Then a good state of mind reflects itself into a healthy body. The more we understand spiritual healing, the clearer this becomes. If we want to achieve this goal, we need to consider the various methods. It's also essential we understand our intent, needs and preferences.

The basic types of spiritual or soul healing are categorized in various ways. They may be divided according to the method: hands-on, hands-free and distance healing. They may be classified according to their origins: Eastern, Western and eclectic. We may also look at them in terms of approach.

Many approaches may involve energy work. Examples include:

Reiki
Shiatsu
Acupuncture
Acupressure
Healing Touch (HT)
Therapeutic Touch (TT)

We could also try the power of prayer. Alternatively, meditation is popular. Sometimes, it is done in perfect harmony with Yoga or as part of a Buddhist practice. We can also opt for self-healing through meditation practices. We can do this on our own or as part of a secular group.

About Death

On a daily basis, on an average day, death may seem far away. Yet, it's never too soon for us to examine death. We all need to reflect on our potential demise. We need to put it into context. We also should consider whether our mind will be ready for this daunting challenge. By reflecting on the spiritual aspect of death, we can help prepare ourselves for what comes while remaining physically and spiritually healthy in the present.
Healing is both a Process and a Natural State

No single path leads everyone through the process of healing. We can arrive at it through any of several different ways.

For some, meditation is the answer. Others turn to energy healing. Reiki, Shiatsu and Qigong are traditional methods of achieving it. We can also seek help from various modernized forms such as Healing Touch (HT). Prayer is also another means.

In any case, a good healer is a reasonable way to get personalized guidance.

Whatever method we choose, we need to be certain it is suitable for us. We need to be sure that we start on a path along which we will continue.
