Ayurveda and Yoga Tips for Better Digestion
Food gives us whole lot of energy and good mood. But if it leaves us suffering from bloating or indigestion it means we are not eating the right food or not having our meals the right way. If you take a dosha test and discover your constitution, you can then find Ayurvedic recommendations regarding food for your dosha type. For example, Vata people are not recommended to drink black and green teas, and Kapha ones benefit from occasional fasting. However, there are a few Ayurveda recommendations that apply to everyone.
Start your morning with a glass of water

Drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning, it will launch the digestive system at the beginning of your day. 

Eat freshly cooked food

Fresh food has more nutrients and tastes better. Don’t cook large amounts of food for several days ahead, instead, opt for simple freshly prepared dishes. Warm temperature of food is the best for digestion.

Stick to a routine

Eating at the same time each day is a good idea. 

Don’t eat when you are full

Sometimes after hard days at work, many of us indulge ourselves to loads of tasty foods. Tasting different foods is often uplifting, however, you shouldn't start your new meal when your previous meal hasn't been properly digested.

Take your time

It's important to thoroughly chew your food and eat at a moderate pace. Once you are finished, sit quietly for a few minutes before leaving the table and let your digestive system do its job.
Be careful with gas producing foods

If you often feel bloated after a meal, try the following measures: cut out broccoli, cabbage and beans of your diet or cook them with a generous amount of digestive spices (black pepper, cardamom, cumin), avoid eating raw vegetables and stew them instead.
